We have a new option for students during recess.  We have created an area in the library where students will have the opportunity to build, tinker, engineer and experiment with different materials and electronics. We are looking for donations of the following: old phones, calculators, remote controls, clock radios, unneeded tools. Also craft and art supplies are appreciated. Stay tuned for pictures of our students’ creations and inventions!

Parent Feedback: In an effort to improve our school and your child’s education, we would like your input and feedback. We are working with a parent advocate, Amanda Wilde who would like to address your concerns. She would like to meet with or hear from you. Email  - awilde4@outlook.com

Inclement Weather:

Possible school closures and delays for the Hoquiam School District will be reported to the local radio and television stations at 5:30 a.m.  In the event there is a late start, breakfast will be served.  A recorded message from the Superintendent regarding closure/delay information can be heard by dialing 538-8300.

Attendance is one the most important components to a successful education for children.  It is crucial that students attend school everyday, and that they are on time and stay until the end of the day.  Central School is making a special effort to ensure that all students fully benefit from their education by attending school regularly.  Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school--and themselves.  Consistent attendance will help children do well in their future school endeavors, college, and at work.  If your child is going to be absent, please contact Mrs. Gwinn, the Central School Office Coordinator, at 538-8230 to excuse their absence.  Any questions regarding attendance can be directed to Mrs. Gwinn or Ms. Dunn, Dean of Students, at 538-8230.
