School Board Meetings

Regular meetings of the Hoquiam School Board are generally held on the 3rd Thursday of each month.  Meetings are scheduled for 6:30pm in the High School Little Theater.  The public is invited to attend this business meeting.

School Board work sessions are typically held the Monday prior to a regularly scheduled Thursday board meeting. Work sessions are held in the High School Library beginning at 5:30 p.m.  The public is invited to attend. Work sessions provide the Board an opportunity to review the agenda with the Superintendent and his staff.  No decisions are made at this session


Generally, all actions of the Board take place in public session in accordance with the state's Open Public Meetings Act. The Board may adjourn to executive session to discuss such issues as personnel or real estate, but actions resulting from discussion in executive session must be taken during a public meeting. The Board sometimes holds special and work study meetings. Announcements concerning special meetings or changes in the regular meeting schedule will be made through local news media.
