Welcome to the Hoquiam School District's Title VII Indian Education Page.
The Hoquiam School District's Title VII Indian Education Program is for all students who are Native American or Alaska Native, or have a parent/grandparent who is Native American and are enrolled in a federally recognized tribe. Every child who is interested in participating in the program must have a Title VII 506 Form on file in the Indian Education Office located at the High School. The 506 Form can be downloaded from this site. Please read the form in its entirety to make sure your child is eligible for program services. You can download the PDF file attachment below.
This program offers a variety of services such as education advocacy, academic support, tutoring and social service referrals; and cultural activities for K-12 Native American students. The Program Liaison hosts a Family Night activity once a month for all students and their families. There will be three (3) Parent Action Committee (PAC) Meetings during the 2014-2015 school year - dates TBD. A monthly Newsletter will be sent out to inform students and parents/guardians of upcoming events and activities.
