Three weeks ago students were given the opportunity to show that they could take the responsibility for Kendamas at school by using them only at lunch time, not using them in the hallways, and then keeping them in their lockers. This has not happened and Kendamas have become a great distraction to our educational environment and a safety issue in our building. Beginning Monday, March 5, Kendamas will no longer be allowed at Hoquiam Middle School.

The Hoquiam School District and Hoquiam Middle School are using the school improvement process to increase student achievement. Hoquiam Middle School has a building leadership team to facilitate our staff through data analysis, goal setting, research, and the implementation of an Action Plan that reflects the needs of our students.
